About The Holcombs

Frank met his wife, Carol, in Washington, DC during the Watergate era while Frank was working for the US Treasury (IRS) handling tax litigation matters and Carol was working for her Congressman from Memphis, Tennessee. Frank shares Carol's interest in American decorative arts and he is a member of the Trustee Advisory Board for the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

He also is a member of the Steering Committee of the Philip Lee Phillips Map Society of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Frank is a member of Bayou Bend Collections Subcommittee.

Frank is an attorney board certified in tax with an LL.M from Georgetown practicing tax, estate planning and corporate in Houston. Carol is a volunteer docent at Bayou Bend.

The Holcomb Collection has been displayed in exhibits at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Witte Museum in San Antonio, the Bullock Museum in Austin, George Bush Presidential Library in Bryan- College Station, and the Houston Heritage Museum.
